It’s amazing what you can accomplish if you put your dreams into action. The hard part is being brave enough to take those first steps, to risk. People have always complimented my artistic abilities and many have even said to me, “you should sell your artwork”. And while I appreciated their compliments, I never took it too seriously. Then a few years ago I started thinking about how God created all of us to be unique and different. How He gifted us all, in different ways, to make an impact in our world. However, on some level I tended to think that my gifts and talents didn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things, that they weren’t meaningful enough. Then one day I ran into another woman I knew. I had always admired her from afar for how she seemed to live her life and do things that really made a difference. Then, she told me that I really inspired her, because she thought I was using my creativity in a way that touched others. How ironic that I saw her as an inspiration to me and yet she also saw me as an inspiration to her, but I never knew it. It is unbelievable what an impact other people’s words can make in your life, often without them even knowing. That conversation and her words confirmed my desire to know that what I did mattered on some greater level. That’s what my whole business is based on…the power of words and how we can use words to inspire, share love and lift others up.
“Inspiration works like a light. Turn it on, and it shines on everything around it. It brightens things up and inspires people to do more and be more.” – Jeremy & Janna Jones
The featured piece is called “Life is Like an Echo”. The meaning behind it is based on the premise that the quality of the words and actions that we put out into the world will come back to us. If we are kind, gentle and loving, then we will likely receive that same type of treatment in return. And vice versa…if we are angry and negative, we will likely receive that same sort of treatment in return. We have the power to impact other people and how they will react to us everyday. May we all use our words and actions in a way that makes the world a better place.
